LG Optimus G Pro for Gen Next

Following the suit of other technology driven players in the industry and bringing new models targeting the next generation, LG too has launched LG Optimus G Pro promises to give updates features in less value.

Claiming to be the power-house in smartphone category, Optimus G Pro is loaded with features like 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and 5.5 inch full HD display, Dual Recording and Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama and full HD quality.

The phone offers dual recording feature that captures video with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously for a unique picture-in-picture experience. The VR Panorama feature allows 360 degree viewing, from taking pictures of both horizontal and vertical environment. The smartphone has the largest battery capacity with 3, 140 mAh, allowing for full HD viewing enjoyment with an improved 13 MP rear and 2.1 MP front Full HD camera.

Soon Kwon, Managing Director, LG India, shares, “Smartphone market in India is growing rapidly and there is a huge demand for big screen size mobile phones. The market size for 5 inch and above screens is expected to be 1.5 million units by end of 2013. Based on this insight, with Optimus G Pro we have pushed the boundaries of computing and technological innovation to develop a smartphone that caters to both business and lifestyle needs of today’s customers. With this launch we are gearing towards our aim of capturing 10% market share of the smartphone category by end of 2014.”

“We are confident that the smartphone will find a large following as it sets a new benchmark with a perfect screen size of 5.5 -inch display that provides an ultimate consumer experience. LG Mobiles has earmarked Rs. 80 cr for strengthening the infrastructure for retail development and marketing activities,” he added.

This model has a pixel density of 400ppi which is the highest amongst the smartphones in the market. This enables text and images to look much more vivid, crisp, and brighter. LG’s Full HD IPS uses the backlight of its panel to increase brightness thereby, not affecting the battery lifespan.

The front facing camera has a resolution of 2.1 MP with a removable battery of 3, 140 mAh- the highest capacity in the class. LG’s 5.5 inch display fits to the hand due to the narrowed width and minimized bezel to 3.65mm.

Dual Recording allows users to capture video with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously for a unique picture-in-picture quality experience. The VR Panorama allows shots of entire horizontal and vertical environments for a full 360 degree view.

upgraded Q Slide, Live Zooming and Quick Memo have been added to this model. Other features in the smartphone are Q Remote, Smart Video, Audio Zoom, Video Wiz, Magic Remote Pad and Text Keypad, Rainbow colour LED and Colour Emoticons.
