Though Fortis has been running on the older version of IT technology yet Navneet believes that the company is achieving its goals, objectives over the period of time and is slowly and gradually developing the newer methods of IT. How important is the IT infrastructure for Fortis C-Doc?

IT infrastructure is the backbone of any organization. It is very important from the marketing point of view, communication point of view. We have an in house Hospital Information System (HIS) software which is very user friendly and is used differently for different user be it admin, accounts, patients files, doctors files etc. This is one of the best communication software that we are using in Fortis C-Doc despite being the oldest as this is safe and secure. HIS application is very user friendly and is very secure. One cannot do the transactions without logging in.

To what extent it is towards the success of Fortis C-Doc?

IT infrastructure is growing the business of Fortis C-Doc. We are doing aggressive marketing through our website and this has been planned by the IT department only. We have developed an E-mailer for the patients where they can directly take the appointments of the doctors. This method is helping towards the growth.

What are the biggest areas of focus as far as IT implementation is concerned?

We are focusing on supporting software for finance that is tally and for HR we have attendance software, antivirus. We focus that the software should run smoothly. We take the backup of the software so that there is no problem at the time of crisis. We have different departments for the backup also. We are also focusing on the online appointments category where the patients can directly take the appointments from the doctors. We are also working on the office 365 in which the user can do work from home and even your colleague can access your work through cloud.

What kind of challenges do you find while implementing typical IT systems for Fotis C-Doc? How did you overcome these challenges?

Finance is one of the major challenges that we are finding while implementing IT systems as our outlet is just one year old. Otherwise we are equipped with the technologies and work on introducing new technologies over the period of time.

As an IT manager what is your success mantra?

I believe in giving the status of each and every call and try to close all the calls. I do not leave my work for the next day and complete my work the same day.

Among all the technologies which one is your favourite and why?

Networking is my favorite one as I have got expertise in this field. I have done my major in this. I like to take the calls of networking.
