Having been a leader in CCTV camera LG thought of combining the camera and video technology to come up with the new product Video Conferencing Systems (VCS). Video today is the key ingredient of all communications. VCS combines Full HD video with a high quality audio system to deliver a vivid conferencing system to the enterprise industry.
To distribute their product range the company has tied up with Roman Securities who will be doing the business for the brand. The LG VR5500F (Full HD) is a Multipoint Room Type System, which can connect up to four different places simultaneously, providing a vivid and realistic experience videoconference similar to those meetings where the participants are in the same space. In addition, V5500/V5000/VR5010H/RVF1000 is another solution corresponding potential for videoconferencing between two points, ideally complementing its new range of LG.
The USP of the product is dual display, reduce the cost of x.260H high profile, reduce operational cost, gives audio screening which can be recorded on website, wide dynamic range gives clear picture, have less sound effect, one remote control and user friendly. One of the unique features of the product is that it requires only half of the bandwidth of 512 kbps as compared to other video conference system. Without compromising on quality of sound and image the VSC will help build unified, cost effective and efficient team.

According to IDC research, continuing interest by enterprises to deploy video communications helped the Asia-Pacific market to grow over 10 per cent in 2012. Targeting the healthcare services, education sector, government funding schemes, LG plans to expand their presence very fast in this area. “Today government also using video conferencing and we want to take the government schemes and healthcare services to rural masses through video conferencing and it’s a need of the hour to take it further through VCS,” informs Sinha.
Talking about the revenue target Sinha shares, “The total market size is $85 million in 2012 and it is expected to grow further. We have not set target for India as of now.”
