Websense Inc. appoints Shawn Pearson as Vice President

Shawn Pearson has been appointed as the Vice President of Websense Inc., a global company in protecting organizations from the latest cyber attacks and data theft. Under his leadership Pearson will work for Worlwide Channel Sales to drive channel leadership and commitment to the partner community.

Having brought more than 17 years of high technology and security channel experience to Websense, Pearson will be responsible for designing and implementing channel strategies that transform the Websense channel from a transactional-based to a value-add operation to support an expanded solution portfolio. Pearson is also committed to building a partner ecosystem across multiple verticals.

Pearson has served as Senior Director of Americas inside sales and channels at RSA, the security division of EMC. During his tenure, Pearson united the inside sales strategy with corporate and field objectives thereby enhancing productivity and revenue objectives. Additionally, he implemented procedures that successfully transitioned RSA’s channel from transaction-centric to more of a value-add operation.
