Vintron rolls out railway surveillance solution

Keeping in mind the difficult security requirements in the railways segment, Vintron Informatics Ltd, a security and surveillance solution provider has introduced its next generation railway surveillance solution in the Indian market. Understanding the ground realities when it comes to providing the security cover inside trains Vintron has taken care of all the challenges in its railway surveillance solution.

“When it comes to the railways segment, we are living in a situation where surveillance is becoming increasingly important for the smooth running of the basic public transport operations. Today there are clear surveillance and security requirements on-board trains, in station platforms, buildings and on surrounding property close to the station, to combat any potential risks to the safety and security of passengers, staff and transport infrastructure. We are proud to present our specific solution that is ideally poised to cater to the needs of this segment,” explains, Varun Gupta, Director, Vintron Informatics Ltd.

Vintron Informatics train surveillance solution can be placed on-board trains in order to provide security cover, enable surveillance and help the proper authorities in the event of a passenger assault or to monitor obnoxious activities of passengers. Additionally, the surveillance system can also enable security cover on station platforms to monitor and prevent overcrowding and to catch illegal smoking or damage to the railway property.

The surveillance system comes with intelligent features such as people counting and unattended item functions which can be integrated on requirement with the solution. This is directed towards creating self-controlled safety and security solution that does not require constant monitoring.

“As far as business is concerned, we are working with our set of distributors in India and this solution will be sold through our channel partners only. Everyday railways authorities are fighting with trespassing, theft, damage to property and safety of the passengers. This kind of next generation surveillance solution is surely going to help the authorities in terms of putting a tab on the security breaches and monitoring it at ease as well,” he adds.

Vintron’s video management software (VMS) system is ideally designed for Indian conditions and offer real time flexibility and control, covering all aspects of security and safety.
