Joining the League of Nations like France, US, China and UK, India too have a nuclear powered submarine. The submarine has a home grown power conditioning system on board. Uniline, a key player in the power conditioning industry, known for its rugged and indigenised manufacturing and mission critical application is now installed on the INS Arihant.
India has 14 diesel-battery powered submarines that have been up and about for the last 21 years, claimed to be outdated and ageing. Uniline was chosen for the INS Arihant for its Reliability, Security, Vibration Free Operation and Climatic Tolerance. The solution is based on Redundant Power Technology that provides multiple power supplies that improves the availability of critical systems and protects from unplanned power outages.
The vessel will be powered by an 83 MW pressurized light-water reactor with enriched uranium fuel. The INS Arihant has four vertical launch tubes, which can carry three smaller K-15 missiles per tube or four larger K-4 missiles or carry six 533 mm torpedoes and Twelve Sagarika SLBM missiles.
Claim to be the number one UPS manufacturing company in India and having the largest portfolio of UPS products, Uniline has also been taken on board for similar installations in navy moving vehicles.
Bringing un-conventional solutions of power management that range from solar energy to hydrogen fuel cells, Uniline has helped in modernizing Five major state police networks for its Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems, ‘CCTNS Project’ has upped the police crime control and monitoring system to speed up the deliverance of records and verification of data.
