Ever since the three Rajasthan Royals Players were taken into custody for match fixing, the fans has been disappointed by the managing committee BCCI and feels that the future of the committee is on doldrums.
I am an avid fan of cricket only when it is played between India and Pakistan. While penning down my thoughts on the subject, it still refreshes the memory of world cup when India battled neck to neck with Pakistan and won the world cup. That was the moment of victory, a moment of proud. But this proud was brutally crushed when the news breaks out on the match fixing and the three players from one of the prominent IPL Teams were arrested.
I have been quiet all this time but when I sensed the new developments in the BCCI committee and that there is no legal hurdle for N. Srinivasan to chairing working committee’s meeting it seems that the black cats can continue to enjoy their position despite doing wrongs.
Bombay High Court observation on BCCI failed to follow its own constitution while setting up the panel to examine charges of betting and spot-fixing against Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan. I feel that the panel has embarrassed the nation and has hit the sentiments of cricket to the core.
I feel that in a scenario where the committee is supporting the black sheep it seems that the BCCI is not afraid on anything as they hold the monopoly in the cricket world. With the greed of money and power dominating the minds of people the scenario of cheating and cheated is common not only in sports but is seen in businesses too.
Following the suit is the IT industry where big vendors and distributors too cheat and make their pockets heavy. I realize the situation as same in the IT world as my source explained me that how vendors like Lenovo are harassing their distributors while cutting their profit margins from the sales and deals directly.
Though big vendors claim to be the channel focused companies, yet they backstab them while cutting profits from their sales and does whatever they feel is right. There is no law and order for them and the small distributors are tricked at hands of these big fish in the industry.
Rajesh Aggarwal and Manish Tuli, Directors, Micromax Informatics were also arrested in a bribery case recently. The duo were caught while paying Rs.30 Lakhs as a bribe to the MCD officials for constructing a banquet hall. I believe that the justice system in India is not perfect as there have been loops in the jurisdiction.
I am of the opinion that it is the time when the government should take some active actions as the generation today believes in free and open trials for the culprits and that they should be rewarded punishment for their sins.
Charges of aggravated animal cruelty should not be dismissed by our justice system.
