Last night I was sitting with my cousins and the conversation on the dinner table broke out as which technology in smartphones is better. The two of them possess totally different Smartphones, an apple and an android. And I was nowhere in the discussion as I carry a blackberry which is altogether a different league.
So, it started with the discussion that whose phone is better and who is much tech savvy. And the discussion went on while differentiating the two technologies and proving their points right. Comparing Apple’s iPhone 4S to its Android equivalents was almost a tedious task for anyone.
Where 4S introduced by the company had an incremental upgrade that I have ever seen with faster processor, better camera, and a software update I thought the phone is as smart as any other android device but unfortunately the device is a step forward within Apple’s world and is behind what Android can offer on the plate to the tech hungry crowd.
The innovation concept of both the technologies has not been missed from the eyes. The update in the Android is the Jelly Bean, the leaps and bounds that it has taken from the cupcake are spectacular. Providing user friendly seamless experience, the OS has updated apps, faster devices and can be found on dozens of phones ranging from Samsung, LG, HTC and so on.
The amount of apps that are found in the Android phone will continue to rise. Apps like Google Now and the growth of near field communication, Android has risen from the beginning to become a leader in the technology field.
To compete with the Android, the most recent release of iPhone 5 has made considerable jumps. Phonescoop lists the iPhone 5 as an update to the iPhone 4S. iPhone 5 adds high speed data and bumps up the display size and processor performance with other minor improvements. It has 8 mega pixel main camera plus HD front camera and upto 64 GB storage.
So, be it iPhone or Android, the two titans will always be the front runner in the mobile category and will continue to clash with each other from time to time. Their competitive nature will surely bring new apps, greater storage space, new models from time to time, losing streak of smaller players in the game.
Thus the two technologies are running neck to neck when it comes to applications.
