Extreme Networks Appoints Nelson Soon as Channels Sales Director

Extreme Networks, Inc., a leader in high performance networking from campus to data centers has appointed Nelson Soon as Channels Sales Director for Asia Pacific and Japan. Based in Singapore, Nelson will work closely with Extreme Networks’ senior management to prioritize markets, resources, and secure new partners. Additionally, he will be responsible for designing business models that aim to optimize the company’s existing channels base.

Nelson brings with him over a decade of experience in the technology and telecom sector. Extreme Networks’ Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan, Gary Newbold, highlighted that Nelson has flair for IT implementation and channels management. “We are very excited to have Nelson on board. I am confident that his enthusiasm backed by his experience will strengthen our relationships with the channel partners in this region.”

Prior to Extreme Networks, Nelson was working with Ixia as the Head of Sales for ANZ, Asean and Taiwan for five years, managing regional sales, channels strategy, and business development. He also served Agilent Technologies for seven years as the Channels Partner Manager. Nelson has a Bachelor of Engineering from The Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
