Emerson Network Power Introduces Its SmartRow Solution

Emerson Network Power has introduced SmartRow Solution which is a datacenter solution. It is applicable to the indoor environment such as medium and small-sized datacenter or computer room.

It supports up to 40kW of IT equipment in a multi-rack configuration with integrated power, cooling, infrastructure management and fire suppression. It leverages industry best practices to provide a solution that is efficient, economical, interoperable and controllable to address the challenges of efficiency, capacity and availability. It is precise, modular, produces savings in terms of initial investments as well as the operating expenses.

SmartRow is intelligent integrated infrastructure that combines industry’s finest power, precision cooling and infrastructure management technologies in a sealed environment – which can be placed at any conditioned space. It reduces energy consumption by up to 27% compared to a data center with conventional design, perform less maintenance and reduce the costs of adding new equipment.

SmartRow uses digital scroll compressor technology, which has capacity modulation from 10% to 100%. Hence the cooling is produced as per the load requirements which given savings in operating expenses.

Optimal Space Utilization: Unlike traditional datacenters, SmartRow does not require infrastructure changes such as raised floor or ducting. As these infrastructural changes are not required, there is considerable amount of savings in capital investment.

Energy Efficiency & Savings: Digital scroll technology cooling produces savings up to 30% as compared to conventional cooling solution. Rack mount UPS is up to 95% efficient.
