SERCO WINS EMC TRANSFORMERS AWARDS

Serco, the international services company has been recognized at the prestigious EMC Transformers Awards for its deployment of a Storage Consolidation solution. This award was conferred at a gala awards ceremony held in Mumbai. The EMC Transformers Awards identify and recognize the changes being brought in Indian enterprises through the smart and judicious use of IT.

Developed in-house, Serco’s deployment comprised a data storage solution for a distributed environment intended to reduce consumption of all power consuming factors of Servers, Storage Boxes, a ‘Go Green’ initiative indeed. BPO/ITES organizations have the seemingly impossible task of supporting high percentage of annual storage growth while facing challenges around reducing their total cost of doing business. This solution provides a discrete data centre and network across all locations and various platforms meant to reduce power consumption and data storage.

The EMC Transformers Awards recognize the changes being brought in Indian enterprises through the smart and judicious use of IT. Serco’s innovative solution has helped them devise a common platform to allocate and manage growing demands for data storage, helping them reduce administrative effort by establishing a single management console.
