Ltd talks about superior cloud technology on offer which lower the cost 40 percent.

How is NxtGen positioning itself in the datacenter space?

Few companies will do public or others private cloud computing, no company should miss the opportunity to do both. NxtGen works closely with its customers for their journey into the hybrid cloud. NxtGen has already delivered business value to multiple customers from datacenter and cloud technologies. With NxtGen, infrastructure can now be located anywhere, most often customers prefer at NxtGen’s own datacenter, it can now be delivered at customer premises as well. NxtGen’s infrastructure is configured and managed according to NxtGen’s own best practices with an option to customize to meet specific customer needs and is centrally managed 24 x 7, providing proactive support. This managed cloud infrastructure is delivered as a converged solution using NxtGen’s High Density Data Center (HDDC) facilities or fully integrated On-premise Data Center (OPDC), coupled with Enterprise Cloud Services.

What kind of clientale do you have in India?

Today we have big clients from media & entertainment industry, Reliance Entertainment is a big customer for us. We have a lot of start-ups hosted with us, along with some enterprise applications.

How do you look at cloud and virtualisation as a great enabler today?

The awareness of cloud is very high, however, adoption needs more enablement. The evolution of infrastructure has gone from physical to virtual to software defined. Datacenters are becoming increasingly virtual and elastic; yet this entire infrastructure still needs to be managed. Operating Systems and application stacks still require maintenance, such as patch management; back-up etc. and security must be applied across the entire infrastructure. Many enterprises are interested in cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and most need professional services during their journey into the cloud. NxtGen has successfully converged traditional IT infrastructure outsourcing services into a cloud enabled system infrastructure services enabling business agility –

  1. Quick service provisioning
  2. Flexible Capacity
  3. Managed Infrastructure
  4. Managed Security Services

It is established that Cloud & Virtualisation save cost for the enterprises, however it is important that cloud is looked as enabler of business agility. The customers should align cloud & virtualisation benefits to business goals and work towards enabling them.

You have mentioned this announcement on 40 per cent savings on cloud. On what basis do you say this? Is there any third party involved in this validation?

Public cloud pricing is available on-line with their respective service providers. Amazon is the undisputed leader in this space, most enterprises in India use Amazon Web Services. We compared our pricing with Amazon, clearly we are over 40% lower in cost, with much superior technology on offer. If a prospective customer configures the same configuration on Amazon as we are offering with Intel Xeon based servers with higher performance, the cost saving would double.

It is not about cost savings alone, it is twice the performance at 40% lower cost. We have also benchmarked our pricing with many other public cloud service providers in India and abroad and we retain the value proposition.

What kind of market strategy do you have?

The only way a large market like India can be addressed is through effective channel partners. Channel partners have been serving some of their customers for over a decade, their understanding of the customer is immense, we are keen to leverage their understanding and enable them provide un-paralleled value proposition to their customers. We are building our brand awareness through multiple channels, across print & digital media. When a channel engages their customer, they do not have to introduce our services, the value proposition should have been established.

How do you look at the enterprise space today? What segments and verticals do you target?

We are an infrastructure services provider, we can serve all segments and verticals. No customer wants a lower level of service, the importance of their respective businesses remains same. It is important for us that we deliver same level of service to any sized customer; this is achieved by standardisation, process, technology and economics of scale at our end.
