ncomputing unveils daas solution for service providers

NComputing has unveiled a Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution enabling service providers to roll-out hosted desktops as a service to SMBs.

So-net Corporation, a member of the Sony Group, will use NComputing’s vSpace desktop virtualization platform to launch its DaaS offering called Virtual Desktop Service in Japan.

So-net is a Japanese service provider that offers Internet connectivity, VPN, FTTH carrier services, cloud computing solutions, and system and web integration services to its business customers and consumers in Japan.

Server Based Computing (SBC) model is a good DaaS approach for SMBs. By enabling service providers to build DaaS solutions based on a SBC model such as the NComputing vSpace platform, SMBs can realize benefits of desktop virtualization with an affordable solution, delivered as a cloud service.

Flexible pay-as-you-grow licensing coupled with the power and simplicity of the vSpace platform means that service providers can start small and align the growth of their DaaS infrastructure with the growth in their customer base and revenues, said NComputing.
