Toshiba in a recent interaction with itVARnews has said that geographical expansion in India will be its top priority in the fiscal year 2014-15.
” We aim to increase our Brand Stores to 100 in the country which at present are 70 in number, and will also focus on increasing our footprint in the multi brand store space. Increasing our Geographical penetration and the number of brand stores in India is our key focus,’’ said SivaKumar, VP, Sales And Marketing, PC Business, Toshiba India.
The head honcho in the interaction also said that Toshiba intends to double its market share in India which at present hovers at 6-7 present with the launch of its new range of satellite laptops for both Enterprises as well as end customers.
The company has also said that it will stick to its regular channel strategies and will focus on them with a more aggressive approach.
‘’There will be no major discontinuation in our channel strategies and they will center around increasing our penetration among the Indian Masses,’’ added SivaKumar.
The company has launched the world’s first 4k resolution laptop yesterday at a price of INR 86,000 which according the company will be a blessing for a consumer who adores viewing experience.
Toshiba has also said that the major challenge for it in the country centres around increasing the penetration of its offerings in the country with the best consumer experience and services.
‘’The PC penetration in India still stands at a minuscule 4 percent and there is a huge opportunity in this market for us,’’ added SivaKumar.
