Plustek Rolls Out Mobile Office Scanner For Cards

Taiwanese firm Plustek has launched Mobile Office s601 portable A6 sized ID card and license scanner. The company claims that the scanner has about same footprint as a smartphone and can scan a card in less than 5 seconds.

 The scanner is ideal for scanning licenses, ID cards, business cards, receipts, as well as checks and deposit slips. It is designed to capture critical identification documents in healthcare, banking, hospitality, visitor access control and other applications where ID cards are frequently used, said Plustek.

The MobileOffice S601 also features image processing that enables a user to scan ID cards/driver’s licenses and embossed plastic cards without any adjustments. The images are automatically straightened, rotated and adjusted for exposure.
