Processor maker Intel has recently launched a range of 2 in1s and tablets running on Android and Windows 8 for which Choose Your Own Device(CYOD) will be its prime Go to Market strategy according to Sandeep Aurora, Director, Marketing & Market Development, Intel South Asia.

Who will be your target consumers for the recently launched range of devices?
Those who will go for a 2 in 1 will be the consumers who are eying a combination of both a tablet as well as a PC. The whole world is becoming mobile and people are seeking to do a variety of things on the move. The youths i believe will be the major customers of the products.
What will be your Go to Market Strategy for the launched devices?
The go to MARKET strategy for these devices will be telling people how technology can change their lives better. And giving them the option of a wide array of devices so that they can chose the right alternative for them.
Do you see 2 in1s as the future of computing?
They are going to be a big category since its evolvement is getting the likes of the people. It offers the option of both a PC as well as tablet at a good price point. In my opinion 2 in1s will become the large chunk of the PC and tablet segment in near future.
What will be the key focus areas of the company this fiscal?
Our Key focus areas will be around enabling the right players with the right technology and continue to set innovation. We will keep informing the enterprises about the benefits of IT and how it can be used for improving their livelihoods.
What according to you are the major challenges in India which are hampering the growth of Smart devices in the country?
There are two major challenges in India which are barricading the growth of device penetration in India –Affordable Broadband and local content, However both the issues are getting fixed and the proliferation of various computing devices will grow many folds in the coming years.
Is it the Enterprises who you seek as a growth driver or the end consumers?
It will be a mix of consumers and enterprise and as they both need the devices for their own need. The end consumers use them for personal work while the Enterprise devices are used for both official and personal. So both the verticals which generate a huge growth in the coming times.
