ACMA 10th ICT Show 2014 Kicks Off

Ahmedabad Computer Merchants Association (ACMA) 10th ICT show 2014 kicked off amidst much fanfare. The show was inaugurated by ACMA President Kishor Nagecha along with Govind Bhai Patel, Minister for Department of IT, S.J. Haider, IAS, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Promod Kumar, IPS, Additional DGP with dignitaries from HP and other sponsors.

On the inauguration of the 10th ICT Show 2014, Govind Bhai Patel emphasized on giving an IT conventional center for Ahmedabad. Addressing the gathering he also said that many companies are coming to Gujarat and due to this the market in the region is flourishing more. IT market will grow and government spending in IT will also be increasing.

Organized on the theme Next Generation IT, the event has more than 20 national and international brands under one roof. On seeing the participation from various IT brands, S.J. Haider said, “I am happy to see that in Gujarat this kind of exhibition is being organized on a massive scale. The association has done hard work to make it a success and through their efforts they are creating awareness among the manufacturers, traders and partners about the new technologies.”

Nagecha   informed that the minister also talked about 2 policies namely IT policy and Electronic Policy under which entrepreneurs can grow business through MSME benefits. The police department of Gujarat has also been given a space in the ICT event where they are displaying new applications through which cyber crime can be prevented. Nagecha informed that the department was happy and has also launched a new application Swaraksha for the people.

The one of its kind event has the latest technologies, methodologies, use of latest equipments, marketing ideas, services, training to benefit the industry as well as end users. The motto is to provide a common platform to the industry for the vendors and buyers alike.
