In a tryst to combat the ailing IT traders at the hands of Online market players, All Delhi Traders Computer Association today organized a public meet with AAM Admi Party chief and Ex Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal.
The agenda of the meet was to bring forth the issues of IT traders in front of the party and media and to resolve them with mutual understanding. ADCTA highlighted the issue of discounting sale at online portals by few E-tailers and its impact on IT traders.
“Due to unethical business practice of few E-tailers livelihood of many families are at stake,” said Swarn Singh, Secretary, ADCTA. Talking to the gathering of more than 500 people Arvind Kejriwal promised that he would bring to notice the plight of the Nehru place traders who have been suffering badly from the online business and its price parity.
Manish Sisodia, MLA and a former cabinet minister also attended the meet and recalled how the government has overlooked the problems faced by traders whether online retailers or by the VAT department who raid on traders’ shop on regular basis. He said, “During our regime the traders gave Rs.1000 crore tax to the government which was an achievement in itself. We did not announce any scheme for the traders but we did not lose ethics while working with traders. We will reduce the rate of VAT to help the traders’ community.”
The Aam Admi Party and ADCTA bring forth the issue of VAT and online price parity and took pledge to bring a change with the help of Arvind Kejriwal who stood up to fought for the justice of the traders in Delhi.
