FiTDAK to play a major role in FAIITA

After a successful CeBIT held in Bengaluru during November’14, FiTDAK’s(Federation of IT Dealers’ Associations-Karnataka)  is also getting actively involved   with other State IT Associations. It is also participating in mitigating issues raised by FAIITA ( Federation of All India IT Associations that is being formed), to aggressively  push for  relief from the menace of ongoing online sales malpractices that are becoming extremely harmful for the interests of the channel fraternity in the State  and  across the country.

“Lots of events such as meets with national distributors, along with MAIT & OEM, nationwide protests and agitations, a series of meetings with the channels, RDs, and key channel partner brands have kept us busy,” said Anand Rao Balluru, President, FiTDAK.

FiTDAK will be conducting its Executive Committee (EC) meeting on 18th January at Bengaluru, which will be attended by its member Associations to discuss and take decisions on new directions and initiatives to move forward, besides reviewing its past activities. The association will also will be discussing the modalities of conducting its first ever AGM, that would be attended by members from across the State of Karnataka. “The modalities of the conduct of AGM, including the location, the venue, and the sponsors for the event will be taken up in the interactive meet on 18th,” he said.

“Besides this, in the EC meet, we will be also taking up discussion and the views of the other office bearers and EC members on the role of FiTDAK in the FAIITA, since that is the consortium of all State IT Associations in India,” Balluru adds.

FiTDAK will be hosting the ASAP (All State Association Presidents Meet) and is jointly working out the dates convenient for holding it. Meanwhile, all state Associations are waiting for the OEMs/Brand owners to revert in writing, endorsing their compliance to the list of demands that FiTDAK’s Regional Heads had submitted to them. The deadline for this is 14th Jan.

“We had also recommended that the well planned document or draft has to be ready on priority on the formation of our FAIITA, outlining its structure, the titles of Posts and Responsibilities, the modalities of electing the office bearers and other EC members, the Manifesto of the Association etc. We will need to have this clarity in order to have a thorough understanding for all the delegates when they attend the meet which will be held at Bengaluru,” added Balluru.
