Dell India achieves leadership position in the x86 server market

No.1 x86 server vendor in revenue terms with a 38 percent market share in Q3 (July-Sept) 2014.Dell India x86 server shipments grew 65% Q/Q (Q3 2014 overQ2 2014)and, Y/Y business grew by more than 100% both in terms of revenue as well as units (Q3 2014 over Q3 2013)

Dell India, today announced that it was the No.1 x86 server vendor in India in revenue terms in Q3 2014 based on  IDC’s Asia/Pacific Quarterly x86 Server Strategist Tracker, Q3 2014 (July – Sept 2014) December release. Dell cornered 38% revenue share of the India x86 server market in Q3 2014 which was more than 6 points higher than the #2 ranked vendor in the market.

With the advent of the forces of Big Data, Social, Mobility, Cloud and Software Defined Everything, enterprise computing needs are changing and driving IT decision makers to evaluate fresh approaches to the datacenter. Dell’s server strategy has been centred on developing products and solutions that prepare customers for the demands placed by the upcoming IT trends. Dell’s future-ready product line of servers along with the new go to market strategy, enterprise stock-n-sell, enterprise solutions group expansion and channel focus have contributed to this important milestone.

Dell’s x86 server revenues have grown Q/Q consistently in India for 4 consecutive quarters since Q4 2013.
