Samsung Launches Compact A3 MFPs – CLX-9200 and SCX-8100 Series

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, announced the launch of CLX-9200 Series A3 color MFP & SCX-8100 Series Mono MFP. The company claimed that the CLX-9200 is the smallest A3 MFP in its class.  The MFPs come equipped with the world’s first all-in-one main board with 1 GHz Dual Core CPU. The ReCP image enhancing technology with real 1,200 x 1,200 dpi delivers significantly sharper and more vivid images for optimum print results, the press release said.The MFPs measure 560 x 600 x 844.3 mm.

Developed with Samsung’s in-house technology, the new Samsung A3 MFP features the world’s first all-in-one board combining a video controller board, engine board and a scan board in one. By combining numerous boards into one single platform, energy consumption shows enormous decrease. When in sleep mode, Samsung A3 devices consume only 0.189kWh – a 60% reduction in power compared to conventional A3 MFP. In addition, failure rate of components has been decreased significantly as complex parts have been simplified for greater reliability, Samsung claimed.

The devices use Samsung’s own 1GHz dual core CPU. The A3 CLX-9201/9251 devices hold printing speed of 20 and 25 PPM whereas , the A3 Mono SCX-8100 Series hold printing speed of 28 ppm.

Lower Maintenance Cost

Aseparated toner, OPC drums and developer unit reduce overall maintenance costs. The interchangeable OPC drum enables businesses to reduce unnecessary inventory as there is no more need to separately purchase different drums for each color.
