This motherboard carries an official Certificate of Validation for having passed an additional168-hour server-level stress test and that too, backed by a 5-year warranty, the company claimed. The extra 168 hours (7-day) stress test is undergone by all GIGABYTE Black Edition motherboards, of which GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK is a member. During the test, each motherboard needs to pass rigorous, full system validation testing process for an entire week. A Certificate of Validation is included with every board, issued by the GIGABYTE factory to indicate that each board has passed the highest test standards.

The motherboard comes with a host of software utilities for tuning and overclocking.
