Dell, announced its support as the technology partner for theeKrantiinitiative launched in Gujarat. The project was recently launched by the Gujarat State Co-operative Credit Societies Federation Ltd., in an effort to facilitate the delivery of all government services electronically to citizens. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Gujarat State Co-operative Credit Societies Federation Ltd. and Dell’s channel partner – Earth Syscom and Project Central Partner – Jintech Solutions Limited for the implementation of the project.
eKranti is an initiative under the ambit of the government’s defining ‘Digital India’ plan. Launched in Gujarat, the project helps in making computers available to citizens through societies registered with the Federation, via interest free loan 12 monthly installments.As technology partner, Dell will play a crucial role in supplying the technology infrastructure comprising of Dell Vostro laptops and desktops, and Dell OptiPlex all-in-ones pre-installed with Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office and anti-virus software.
