Acer Appoints Redington As Strategic Partner For The Acer One

Acer has today announced a strategic partnership with Redington India for exclusive distribution of Acer’s latest 2-in-1 device – Acer One. The device is best suited for consumers who are looking for a compact, portable and multi-functional device for balancing productivity and entertainment and is targeted at always online young consumers.

Specifications and features

The Acer One^® with up to 32GB of storage in the detachable screen is powered by an Intel® Atom™ quad-core processor and comes with 1 GB RAM and 2 GB RAM variants, both come with Windows 8.1 pre-installed. The Precision Touchpad enhances sensitivity and accuracy for the same visual experience as using a touch screen and supports six core Windows 8.1 Touchpad gestures for improved navigation and smooth gestures. The spacious keyboard ensures comfortable and productive typing, while an optional keyboard dock with integrated hard-disk offers additional storage of up to 500GB. Also included is 1TB of online storage with a free one-year subscription to OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage platform.

The device has front and back camera, micro-HDMI port and a microSD card slot.

The Acer One can work in four distinct modes:

• Notebook mode – A fully functional laptop with keyboard
• Pad mode – Use as tablet
• Display mode – offers a large size of photo frame.
• Tent mode –Use in a narrow space, e.g. viewing recipes in the kitchen or setting the device up on a bookshelf.
