R&M Launches Cat. 6A EL Module in India

R&M, a Swiss cabling company launched new Cat.6A EL Module in India. The Cat. 6A EL module features a newly developed compensation function for optimized signal transmission. The letters EL stand for Easy Lock. Cat. 6A EL plays a role in situations where simple and quick installations are required and the permanent link has to deliver high performance conforming to standards.

Mr Gaurav Ahluwalia, Managing Director at R&M India said, “In the past it would have taken days to wire a network distributor for structured cabling systems, but, with the Cat. 6A EL, it can be done in a matter of hours. Cat. 6A EL was developed with the aim of significantly simplifying installation in the area that usually takes the most work: connecting the RJ45 modules in high-rise buildings.”

R&M’s Cat. 6A EL module has two parts: the wire guide and the jack with wiring cover. The jack can be mounted without any special tools. Insulation displacement terminals contact the cables automatically when the cover is closed. An integrated half clamp provides strain relief, securing all types of cable without squeezing them. Cable ties are no longer needed. With shielded cabling solutions (STP), the half clamp establishes the shielding contact at the same time.

The procedures for wiring and installing the RJ45 module can be carried out quickly. The RJ45 jack fulfills the component specifications according to IEC 60603-7-41/-51. It is suitable for the construction of permanent links and Class EA channels according to ISO/IEC 11801, currently the highest performance level in Twisted Pair copper cabling.The Cat. 6A EL module fulfills all requirements for high-frequency data transmission and for network operation with 10 Gigabit Ethernet, which will be required in the future, the company said.
