Schneider Announces New Galaxy VM UPS For India

Schneider Electricunveiled its Galaxy VM three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) withECOnversion™ technology at a Consultant Program in Bengaluru. Galaxy VM ranges UPS are up to 99% efficient and is easy to deploy with seamless integration into the electrical, physical and monitoring environments of customers operating medium data centers, industrial or facilities applications, the company said.

Galaxy VM employs Schneider’s patented ECOnversion™ technology which combines high energy efficiency and seamless switch-over to inverter mode in the event of a mains power failure. It is the first UPS in India that has 4 level inverter technologies.Galaxy VM  works with very wide input voltage window, high overload and short circuit capacity and integrated back feed protection providing excellent power quality.

Galaxy VM has swappable modular battery modules and fans that can be replaced without the need to go to maintenance bypass, thus increasing availability and load protection. It also offers an unrivalled operating range, able to support loads from 160 to 200kVA.Additionally, it features top and bottom cable entry, full front service access, back to the wall installation and included start up service making it one of the easiest UPS’s in its class to deploy, install and maintain, the press release claimed.
