Fortinetannounced the evolution of its2013 acquisition of the AscenLink product line from Xterra with the launch of three WAN Link Load Balancers under the new FortiWAN product line.Fortinet’s new line of FortiWAN appliances enables organizations to maximize their current bandwidth and also provides scaling for organizations that utilize or want to implement multiple ISP technologies and carriers, increasing bandwidth while reducing costs and simplifying management.All FortiWAN products will deliver link backup and advanced features like multihoming for inbound link management and patented Tunnel Routing for link aggregation.
In addition to these features, Fortinet’s FotiWAN line will include three new appliances:
- FortiWAN 200B – up to 200 Mbps throughput, 5x GbE ports
- FortiWAN 1000B – up to 1 Gbps throughput, 3x GbE and 4x GbE SFP ports
- FortiWAN 3000B – up to 3 Gbps throughput, 8x GbE, 8x GbE SFP and 8x 10GbE SFP+ ports
