Cisco signs Radware as an OEM for DDoS Mitigation

Radware, a provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, has announced that it has been assigned by Cisco Systems, to provide its distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation technology for the new Cisco Firepower 9300 appliance designed for service providers.

The press release explained, Cisco Systems selected Radware’sDDoS mitigation technology as it correctly identifies and reduces cyber threats, especially those targeting application availability and it does so in the shortest amount of time. Radware’sDDoS mitigation technology is a real-time, behavioral based, mitigation solution that helps protect against security threats targeted at the availability of the protected service, without blocking legitimate user traffic.

Says Mr Nikhil Taneja, Country Manager and Regional Director, India and SAARC, Radware, “By incorporating Radware’sDDoS protection on the Firepower 9300 with Cisco’s unique security approach, a more threat centric solution will be available to the service providers, including advanced firewalling, DDoS protection, and other security protection services.”
