ASUS announced that its line-up of AMD FM2+-based motherboards offer support for the latest AMD® A-series Accelerated Processing Units (APUs), codenamed ‘Godavari’.Existing ASUS owners can update their motherboards quickly and easily using the intuitive ASUS USB BIOS Flashback or ASUS EZ Update tools. The necessary BIOS updates are available to download immediately, while an easy graphics-driver (VGA) update increases performance of the AMD A-Series APUs’ integrated AMD Radeon™ graphics.
With the ASUS-exclusive USB BIOS Flashback the latest UEFI BIOS is downloaded to a USB flash drive. The motherboard does not even need to have a processor or memory modules in place: users can simply connect the power supply, plug in their USB drive, and press the USB BIOS Flashback button to flash to the latest BIOS. Alternatively, the Windows-based EZ Update tool — accessed via EZ Mode in ASUS AI Suite 3 — will update the motherboard’s BIOS with just one click, Asus said.
