Inaugurates its 500th Dell Exclusive Store in Mumbai
Dell announced the launch of its 500th Dell Exclusive Store (DES). The store was inaugurated by Amit Midha, President, Dell Asia-Pacific, and Chairman, Dell Global Emerging Markets, and P. Krishnakumar, Vice President, Consumer & Small Business, Dell India on July 2nd, 2015; and is located at Lamington Road in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The opening of this store is a stepping stone in the course of Dell’s rapidly expanding retail presence, aimed at opening 825 DES across the country by the end of 2015.
The Dell Exclusive Store Roadmap
Post privatization, Dell India has consistently endeavoured to establish itself as the ‘Brand of Choice’ for consumers across Tier 1 – Tier 5 cities and towns.
· Starting with only 47 DES as of March, 2013, the company had an extremely robust retail expansion plan and set goals to take PC technology to various pockets across the country
· In over a year, the company then launched its 250th Dell Exclusive Store in Bangalore in August, 2014
· This was soon followed by the launch of the 400th store in Gurgaon in February, 2015 which was a key development in the company’s retail strategy as Dell India’s goal to establish 400 stores in the country by the end of FY15 was realized.
Dell India recently commissioned a pan India survey[1] which highlighted that customers tend to look for detailed information about a computing device’s specifications and how it can cater to their individual needs. This held true across multiple user groups – youth, young workforce as well as parents looking to introduce their children to computing. The opening of the new 500th Dell Exclusive Store addresses this insight, giving consumers the opportunity to experience an entire range of products, along with brand expertise and assistance, so they can make informed purchase decisions when it comes to their computing needs.

The new 500th store at Lamington Road in Mumbai is fully equipped with Dell’s newly launched range of products including the latest Dell XPS 13, Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet and the Dell Inspiron 5000 series notebooks which comes in a range of colors.
