BICSI, the association advancing the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) in India. TSSC is an industry-led apex body, jointly set up by The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), Indian Cellular Association (ICA) and Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCOE) to ensure adequate availability of skilled manpower to boost growth and productivity in the Telecom Sector. The purpose of the M
oU is to foster the growth and advancement of the ICT industry through collaboration and information sharing oneducation and training, credentialing and certification events, marketing, and standards development.
Highlighting the importance of this initiative, BICSI India District Chair Ketan Kothari said, “Since BICSI India’s inception in 2003, the steering committee members and volunteers have worked diligently towards the development of the ICT industry in the country.” “With an aim to position BICSI India as a credible stakeholder in developing the ICT skill set, we initiated talks with TSSC in India. Our association with TSSC will be an important step in the right direction that will serve the needs of the ICT industry in India,” he further emphasized.
