Symantec Appoints Ganesan Arumugam as Channel Chief

Symantec has appointed Ganesan Arumugam as Director for its Channel  & Commercial (SMB) security business in India. Based in Bengaluru, Ganesan will be responsible for driving growth for the Commercial Business

A seasoned Industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, Ganesan has held senior management roles across several enterprises in the IT and telecom segment. Prior to joining Symantec, he was the senior director at VMware for over five years till January 2015, responsible for driving channel sales for enterprises and SMBs. Before joining VM Ware  he was the Global Alliance Director for India and SAARC at Hitachi Data System, responsible for sales and service delivery.  Symantec is a home coming for Arumugam as he was director of global strategic partner sales for the security giant from 2004 to 2009.

“With Ganesan Arumugam coming on board as the Director for Channels and Commercial; Symantec will further strengthen the partner ecosystem to address the growing opportunity in information security and advancing security, together,” said the official statement by Symantec.

Ganesan holds an MBA from Bharathidasan Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli, India and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical from Anna University
