Network Evolution with TP-LINK

 

Indian enterprises are increasingly adopting WLAN to focus on mobility, IoT, Big Data & Cloud. Also there is a push from Govt of India by eGov & Digital India initiatives wherein TP-LINK products are well accepted and appreciated by the B2B customers or B2C end users across the globe. Their products include wireless networking, portable routers, 3G/4G routers, switches, routers, IP cameras and print servers. In an interview with ITPV channel magazine, Atul Jain, VP – Channel Sales, TP-LINK talks about company’s new offerings, channel strategy and vision for 2016.

In India, TP-LINK is known for its leadership in WLAN and SME devices. What is your key focus now?

With the number of smart devices in the home steadily rising, consumers need more bandwidth to ensure seamless connectivity and that is possible only with a right type of router in place. Therefore, our focus is more on the Archer series of powerful AC series thus, 802.11ac will be the roadmap this year.

Recently in CES we have launched the worlds fastest Talon AD7200 Multi-band Wi-Fi Router. This is the world’s first multi-band router based on 802.11ad – the latest, most powerful innovation in wireless technology. Powered by the 802.11ad and 11ac MU-MIMO solutions. TP-LINK Talon AD7200 Multi-band Wi-Fi Router brings new, robust capabilities of 802.11ad to the market, delivering ultra-fast speeds of up to 4.6Gbps on 60GHz bands.that is based on 802.11ad technology.

With the TP-LINK Talon AD7200 Multi – band Wi-Fi Router, consumers can download an entire feature-length 4K HD video in about four minutes or transfer a thousand photos to a storage device in approximately five seconds, without any concerns about network interference.

Wireless networking is fast becoming the preferred mode of connectivity, and TP Link has some acclaimed products in this line. How are you equipped to handle ubiquity?

TP-LINK offers flexible, manageable and high performance Indoor & Outdoor Business Wireless Solutions, for small and medium businesses. The EAP series ceiling mount APs meet the needs of professional indoor wireless coverage for SMB including hotels, campuses, companies, and malls. Our Pharos series products are dedicated to provide high performance solutions for outdoor wireless networking applications.

How will increasing IoT adoption change the products line you sell today?

Stable, reliable connectivity is the foundation of the smart home and TP-LINK’s expansion into this sector is a natural progression that allows us to deliver innovative products. TP-LINK SR20 Smart Home Routers combine our best-in-class connectivity solution with today’s popular IoT technologies to power the consumer’s connected lifestyle. With TP-LINK’s comprehensive Smart Home products, consumers can enjoy reliable connectivity in the home, manage their favorite devices and stay connected to their homes when they are away.

The SR20 Smart Home Router provides centralized control for your entire smart home. In addition to compatibility with devices from other manufactures, TP-LINK is also introducing a full line of home automation devices for security, lighting and energy management that will work with SR20. This includes HD day/night security cameras, tunable Wi-Fi lightbulbs, smart plugs and a smart switch with energy monitoring.

In various verticals, networking is playing an increasingly significant role for processes. For healthcare vertical, it may be the basis on which significant initiative rest. Do you have any customised products for the sector?

For integration of wireless in hospitals or pharmacies we have indoor access points.  In-Wall and Ceiling mount access points offer major benefits in large business networks. These solutions are ideal for service providers, venue owner or SMBs who are looking to deploy reliable outdoor as well as indoor Wi-Fi network environments. TP-LINK has tie-ups with various service providers and offers complete holistic solution to the businesses.

Tell us something about TP- LINK channel business and how it will work in 2016?

Consumer & SOHO Business we chose to go through Offline, Large Format Retails and Online. SMB We keep an eye to first full focus through A Class Cities and through our existing interested channel Partners through A, B and C Class cities. And We also add up our Accessories business vertical which we build up through key focused channel partners who have strength in this business, current we distribute Power Banks, USB hubs, Charger and release more range in coming months for Mobile and car and other Smart life products. TP-LINK invite all our Channel Partners for the bug opportunity with these new product releases in different Verticals to join the Growth together. TP-LINK put and putting more investment to build robust Pre- Sales, Sales and post Sales infrastructure to strengthen and support our new releases.
