Avnet joins forces with EMC Converged Platforms VCE in Australia

Avnet now delivering the world’s most advanced converged solutions to their Australian partner network

Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that it has signed an Australian distribution agreement with EMC Converged Platforms VCE, the world market leader in converged infrastructure and converged solutions.The solutions from EMC Converged Platforms VCE accelerate the adoption of converged infrastructure and cloud-based computing Reliance-and-Jasper-Partnermodels that dramatically reduce the cost of IT while improving time to market for customers. This new partnership will provide Avnet with access to the entire EMC Converged Platforms VCE portfolio, which comprises the flagship Vblock product, as well as the VxBlock, VxRack, and the recently launched VxRail. The Vx Range includes VMware’s NSX software-defined offering.

EMC Converged Platform VCE’s market-leading portfolio is a strong addition to Avnet’s innovative solutions portfolio, enabling partners to accelerate their IT transformation and drive powerful business results. Avnet’s existing local experience across the entire VMware and EMC portfolios will ensure the team can successfully support partners in choosing the right technology to address their customers’ unique business challenges.

Through Avnet’s robust training programs, partners will now be able to achieve the required EMC Business Partner Program accreditations. They will also gain the ability to take advantage of additional revenue-generating opportunities across core data centre technologies, including networking, security, storage, mobility and virtualisation.
