The world is witnessing a technological revolution. The popularity of the “cloud” is predicted to grow significantly by 2020. Even the “no-cloud” companies are expected to switch to it sooner or later. At the end of 2015, 88% of entrepreneurs transferred their companies to clouds. The software will be separated from the hardware. Cloud applications are often used to automate business using CRM, ERP, PSA and HR systems stored on remote servers, a tendency that’s growing with each passing year. The information from the software that we’ll use will pass through several filters before starting to interact with the user’s computer.

The modular software will become a priority. With the complexity and size of individual programs growing leaps and bounds, cloud technologies will require new system thinking, and software development will have to be thought over from different angles. As the fee for using cloud services has not been canceled, placing individual components of programs in different storages can be one way to reduce the cost of software.

Low-power processors will stimulate the decline in prices for services of cloud providers. Low power chips currently available in the market allow using processors with low power consumption for data processing.

Data security will continue to be superior. Just like reliable encryption of information, the physical security of data centers is also important. Biometric scanning will supposedly replace the one-electronic key access to data center premises to ensure its safety. The minimum requirements for the current SSL protocol will be seriously changed.
