Keysight Technologies Delivers First-to-Market Support for Semtech’s LoRa Technology

Keysight Signal Studio for IoT enables users to accelerate design validation and verification of applications

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, today announced that Keysight’sN7610C Signal Studio for IoT is the first creation tool to support Semtech’sLoRa® devices and wireless radio frequency technology (LoRa Technology). As a result, users will be able to accelerate design validation and verification of Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Semtech Corporation is a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors for high-end consumer, enterprise computing, communications, and industrial equipment. LoRa Technology is a wireless solution developed to enable low data rate communications over long distances by sensors and actuators for machine-to-machine (M2M) and IoT applications. LoRa Technology is currently integrated into cars, street lights, manufacturing equipment, home appliances, wearable devices, and other IoT devices.

Keysight’s Signal Studio for IoT, in conjunction with Keysight Vector Signal Generators, enable users to generate waveforms with different configurations compliant with LoRa Technology for receiver and component testing across R&D and manufacturing.

Keysight’s wide range of solutions, including signal generation for receiver testing and signal analysis for transmitter testing, address the evolving LoRa Technology test requirements. The company’s N7610C Signal Studio for IoT offers the flexibility to generate LoRa waveforms using a wide range of configurations controlled by parameters that can be easily set using an intuitive GUI.

“Keysight’s Signal Studio for IoT enables developers to accelerate implementations of the LoRa Technology, one of the key low-power wide-area network technologies that Keysight is pursuing to address industry-specific IoT needs,” said Kailash Narayanan, vice president of the Wireless Test business at Keysight Technologies.
