OYO appoints Betsy Atkins as its Independent Director

Indian hospitality start-up OYO Hotels and Homes has reportedly appointed Baja CEO and Founder Betsy Atkins asits new independent director.

Atkins will not only play a supervisory role but also provide guidance to the founder of the Unicorn Ritesh Agarwal. He will guide the management on key decisions to taken around business. Agarwal who is now 26 founded OYO 7 years ago at the age of only 19.

On the board, Atkins will be accompanied by industry experts like Mark Schwartz, VC, Goldman Sachs and Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asia Pacific, BejulSomania, Partner, Lightspeed India Partners Advisors, Munish Verma, Managing Partner, SoftBank Vision Fund and Mohit Bhatnagar, MD, Sequoia Capital India Advisor.

Baja Corporation which is founded by Atkins is a Mexican firm that runs around business consulting, angel investing and corporate governance.
