Kruti Comp from Bengaluru specializes in the integration of IT Infrastructure solutions into business environments. Quite expectedly the COVID19 crisis has impacted them hard with Ketan B Shah, MD, Kruti Comp admitting a huge negative impact in FY20-21. He however expects a change in the way ICT business is done after this crisis.
During this COVID19 crisis what are the measures Kruti Comp has undertaken to continue its own business without disruption?
Disruptions are a way of life and have come in various forms earlier. The COVID19 crisis however, has given us a lot of insights and many “Fill in the Blanks” which has impacted our business. To reduce the impact, we have setup Work from Home facility for a few people.
The management and the sales team is more involved in daily tasks like sending proposals to regular customers which are currently bare minimum. They are also involved in sending profiles to new prospective customers which are most likely to get converted after the lockdown opens. Then we are doing cash flow planning which is the most challenging part post lockdown. We are also doing joint business planning with the OEMs for procurements. And last but not the least we are exploring the new opportunities in digital solutions which have sprung up.
What are the initiatives for employees and financially what is the impact on Kruti Comp and what are your plans to mitigate them?
We have given them complete financial assurance considering the current crisis. There will be a financial Impact on the outflow, but as of now we will absorb the same. The yearly increments and variables may differ as per the situation.
The employees have been enabled for various webinars and online trainings to improve domain knowledge, technical skills and soft skills. We are reworking on our go-to-market strategies to enhance the business opportunities. We intend to go full throttle on Digitisation Solutions.
What are the measures and initiatives you have taken for the uninterrupted service for customers?
There are a few things we have already done and continue doing. These include having planned for and stocked relevant products and providing technical services remotely to their business running including setting up WFH options. We have also made material available to companies working for essential services and WFH Companies.
What are Kruti Comp’s business and operating models? In light of the COVID19 crisis how has this model got impacted?
We provide IT Infrastructure solutions including Hardware and Software. We have now realized that our focus needs to be skewed more towards software, cloud based solutions and services while keeping hardware as the base.
Who are the sectors you witness maximum traction? How has COVID19 impacted business with the existing customers?
Our marquee clients are from IT and ITeS, product design and manufacturing fields. The maximum traction can be seen with IT/ITeS, healthcare and manufacturing related to Essential Services. Other customer requirements have totally stopped but their planning is going on and there should be a big spike in orders once businesses resume functioning. Currently, business has spiked upwards with IT and ITES companies but at the same time it is at the bottom most levels with other verticals.
What are the contingency plans you have put in place if this crisis persists or gets escalated?
We seriously believe it is time to REINVENT..!!. REBOOT..!! The plan is to provide more software and cloud related solutions/services and to help customers run their businesses with minimal impact. We need to redesign processes, provide more learning opportunities to the team, and provide WFH options to the maximum as possible.
We have to just RESTART with the relevant solutions keeping focus on Internet / Cloud / Digitisation Solutions. We also anticipate a good demand in Infrastructure Sol.
What sort of business and financial impact you expect for Kruti Comp’s business as a result of COVID 19?
Firstly on the financial part, we foresee a huge negative impact. There will be financial delays which will create a crisis and will have cascading effect on all tiers. While our customers will remain and businesses will start coming in once there is relief from this crisis, there will be a dip in revenue for at least two Quarters for this financial year as we see it. The silver lining is the dawn after the COVID19 will bring in the most required awakening and changes in the way the ICT Business is done.
