What is the operating business model of Bahwan CyberTek and how all does technology drive this business?
BCT has a unique outcome based business model. BCT is a singular architect company with a unique business proposition. It has an outcome based hybrid business model i.e. solution driven and embraces everything novel and futuristic. It has a strong foothold in technology and business ethics, driving differentiated value to customers. We leverage strategic partnerships and joint ventures to scale up fast. Over the years, BCT has entered into several strategic partnerships with industry giants and new technology players. These partnerships have helped BCT grow fast in multiple geographies.
The group now has 9 subsidiaries, 3 joint ventures and 2 strategic partnerships. The group has a partnership with Oracle, IBM, TIPCO, Zycus, Barnes and Noble to name a few.
BCT is a staunch believer in connected innovation through acquisition and investments in adjacent technology companies like Techyon and Cloudleaf. While investment in Techyon resulted in a state of the art disruptive technology in automotive industry, Cloudleaf is a sensor based digital intelligence solution for asset tracking in SCM industry. It has been featured in Stanford Case Studies twice in a year 2017 and 2018.

What are the key technology solutions used by Bahwan CyberTek and what are their use cases?

Delivering differentiated value to customers in diverse verticals, BCT is a global provider of digital transformation solutions and diverse verticals leveraging digital and IP technologies such as digital experience, predictive analytics, IoT, AI & ML and cloud and mobility solutions.
Over the years, the company has expanded its solutions in oil and gas, power, BFSI, Government, Digital Supply Management and retail, though BCT product offerings all built bottom- up. We believe in delivering differentiated value to the customers. That is from bottom up. We work along with the customers and adopt our solutions to their needs. We customize similarly, for example, our predictive analytics product Cuecent RETINA can be adopted by diverse verticals based on plans needs. DROPTHOUGHT, BCT’s sentimental analysis product can also be used in multiple verticals.

*What is the function of a CDO in Bahwan CyberTek? *How do you perform the dual role of a CIO and CDO?

The CDO is actually Chief Delivery Officer. He delivers all projects that are in the company need technology.

 

In fact, they are both complementary. As a CIO, I am in charge of infra, internal automation and process. Infra and process are much for delivery. Infra keeps the lights on and the process gives the certification like ISO etc, for the need of the delivery.

*What are the enterprise business functions that require seamless integration of sensors with ERP applications?

Human Resource Management, Inventory that is materials management and capacity requirement planning and production that is materials requirement planning are the business app that need to integrate with ERP.

*How is ERP in cloud deployed at Bahwan CyberTek?

ERP in cloud is deployed in BCT only in HCM (Human Capital Management).
So far we have been doing a lot of our human resources management only manually. but since we have nine subsidiaries all over the world to track the data, it is better to keep cloud based technology because our infrastructure needs  will be lesser. That is why we are using cloud based technology for HCM. We also have automated our attendance system through bio-monitors so that attendance directly goes into the system.

*What is the internal team structure in Bahwan CyberTek to monitor and direct tech usage? How are these teams aligned with the business functions?

The internal team structure in Bahwan CyberTek is CEO under which there is a Chief Sales Officer (CSO), then CDO – Chief Delivery Officer, then CIO – Chief Information Officer. There is a CPO – Chief Product Officer and then CHRO – Chief Human Resources Officer and there is a CRO – Chief Risk Officer and a CFO- Chief Financial Officer.
Under the CFO, there are multiple GIO heads. We have 9 GIOs in various countries, run through the GIO heads. Then the Chief delivery officer, the various delivery heads of the GIOs are also involved as well as solution experts of different verticals like  Managed Services, Oracle implementation. The Chief Product Officer is the head of multiple products like RETINA, DROPTHOUGHT among others. The sales guys bring in the business and along with the delivery there is a pre-sales. The pre-sales team looks at the solution and works along with the delivery to give a proper proposal to the sales people to be delivered to the clients. Based on that the sales people get the order and then it is passed on to their delivery people who manage the onsite offshore model based on which how many onsite and offshore people can be managed.
