Shift left or DevSecOps, a topic that was commonly discussed, has moved from being only a concept to becoming a reality with many enterprises incorporating it. This practice has led to the rise of Automated platforms, VA threat detection, and Zero Trust security as a way to move away from traditional security methods.

One of the most common mistakes that companies make when establishing a digital footprint transformation or changing business model is failing to plan for and secure their architecture from day 0. With more stringent regulations being enforced lately in addition to cybersecurity and data protection laws now in place, this should help organizations realize the importance of including security measures when planning ahead.

Appknox has been growing 2-3X year-over-year in terms of revenue and team. We are working with 500+ Enterprises including the top 20 Fortune 1000 companies with government regulators across 10+ countries and some of the top banks and financial institutions across 20+ countries.

• Please talk about your top-5 focus areas over the next 12-18 months.

Our team is proactively working on building cutting-edge products, including automating and simplifying security experience for business applications and expanding support to the next generation challenges faced by these enterprises on the application security front like APIs and Web Applications.

• How do you see the customer expectations driving the security solution industry over the next couple of years?

Customers want you to help them focus on what matters. Businesses are increasingly maturing on the cyber resilience front, and as they progress they seek solutions that allow their employees to focus on the important aspects – like providing products and services that benefit the customer. In such instances, the need of the hour for cybersecurity solutions is to seamlessly integrate with their existing business requirements. In addition, CISOs have evolved from a reactive role to that a proactive one, which means modern technologies such as artificial intelligence would play a prominent role in their decision making capabilities.
