Milestone Systems Appoints Malou Toft as VP for Asia Pacific

Milestone System has announced recently the appointment of Malou Toft as Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC). Malou will be responsible for the company’s long-term growth strategy in the APAC region through business expansion, strategic partnerships and customer acquisition.

This new appointment complements Milestone’s strong growth and success in 2021. Despite the current pandemic concerns, Milestone increased sales in APAC by 54 percent year on year. Malou will continue to drive the region’s growth momentum, focusing on the infrastructure, healthcare, and education sectors, which are critical to the advancement of Smart Cities.

In her new role, Malou’s will continue to generate excellent business outcomes for clients and partners, strengthening Milestone’s position as the premier provider of open platform video management software. As video technology expands beyond its traditional applications of security and surveillance, the company continues to engage in research and development to further strengthen the organization’s capabilities for new market opportunities. For example, in Singapore, a mix of video and sensor technology has already been deployed to improve the quality of life for seniors living alone. Milestone will also launch a new partner program in July, empowering partners to drive development and provide top-performing solutions.

Malou was formerly and since 2018 Milestone’s Vice President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and she was important in the region’s success and expansion. Malou formerly worked in the telecoms industry in Scandinavia and Asia, where she had many strategic and commercial roles in areas such as IoT and business transformation. She has previously garnered various accolades for her contributions to business development and leadership, including an award for outstanding leadership.
Malou, as a respected leader, will also seek to upskill and mentor the team in order to foster a People First culture and boost employees’ creativity and agility.
