Tata Group has taken a crucial step in changing Air India’s customer experience and operational effectiveness as part of the carrier’s revitalization by deploying best-in-class technical solutions from Amadeus. Air India is implementing the entire Amadeus Altéa PSS suite, which covers revenue management, revenue accounting, retailing and merchandising, as well as management of internet, mobile, and frequent flyer programs.
Customers and travel partners benefit from the platform’s modern and effective reservations solution. The improved system would also bring technology to boost operational efficiency to Air India.
The first PSS cutover took place in late May, and a midterm roadmap was agreed upon to support the airline’s future transition. Air India operates 117 aircraft and, in addition to a robust local network, the carrier has a distinct international footprint spanning locations such as North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
