Micro Focus Unveils New Strategic Charity Partnerships in India

Micro Focus has announced five new long-term collaborations in India. The community-focused programs aim to address climate change resilience, promote quality and equality in school education, and build employment skills to increase social mobility.

The partnerships, which are part of Micro Focus INSPIRE, the company-wide Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program, build on the company’s long-standing social responsibility commitments and further strengthen the company’s support for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) to help achieve a more sustainable future for all.

The latest charities that Micro Focus will support in India are:

• Mantra4Change: The nonprofit organization’s purpose is to assist transform India’s public education system by mobilizing leaders to establish long-term, holistic, and meaningful learning experiences for millions of children.
• Anudip Foundation for Social Welfare: Anudip Foundation for Social Welfare assists people from low socioeconomic communities in finding jobs and transforming their life through its skill development training centers around India.
• World Wide Fund for Nature India (WWF): Micro Focus is supporting the WWF’s Climate Resilient Cities Programme, designed to build climate resilience in cities across the country. The program educates communities and city stakeholders, including local government and businesses, on how to anticipate and respond to potential risks resulting from climate change.
• Agastya International Foundation: The nonprofit foundation aims to make education in India accessible to all children, irrespective of their economic and social backgrounds. Through its digital program, the Agastya International Foundation enables children in areas with limited internet access to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.
• Center for Catalyzing Change: To harness equality and inclusion, Micro Focus is sponsoring a comprehensive program to help empower teenage girls as they prepare for the future of work. The program will equip the girls with basic employability skills across digital and financial awareness, alongside topics relating to emotional and mental wellbeing.

These latest charity partnerships strengthen Micro Focus’ social responsibility efforts in India, which are supported by the company’s social mission of empowering communities to succeed in their digital futures. Micro Focus continues its partnership with the following nonprofit organizations:

• The Samarthanam Trust – Micro Focus is assisting hundreds of students, from primary school to those preparing for employment, in completing a variety of educational programs and finding meaningful employment through a long-term cooperation with the Samarthanam Trust.
• Nisvartha Foundation – Micro Focus has worked with the Nisvartha Foundation for numerous years to fund the higher education of students, especially women, from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
• NASSCOM Foundation – For the second year, Micro Focus is supporting the nonprofit’s Digital Literacy and Livelihood Programme, which aims to provide 1,000 youth with fundamental employment and financial literacy skills.
