Over 62% of employers in India intend to hire more women in STEM fields during the current fiscal year, according to a report from digital business and IT services provider NTT Data and NLB Services, a leading technology and digital talent solutions provider. The report also highlights the sectors that are expected to see a significant increase in the hiring of STEM-qualified women employees, with retail/e-commerce being the top sector on the list.

According to the research, the following industries will see an increase in the number of STEM-qualified women in FY 2023-24.

Retail/E-commerce– The retail and e-commerce sectors have grown significantly in recent years, and this trend is likely to continue in fiscal year 2023-24. In FY 2023-24, the Retail/E-commerce industry expects a 12% rise in the hiring of STEM-qualified women personnel.
