Vertiv Introduces Geist Watchdog 15 Sensor Solution for Enhanced Data Center Monitoring in India

Digital infrastructure and continuity solutions provider Vertiv has unveiled the Vertiv Geist Watchdog 15 environmental sensor solution to elevate data center monitoring and management in India. This self-contained environmental monitor is designed to optimize the performance of crucial IT infrastructure by remotely tracking real-time environmental conditions within data centers, server rooms, and network closet environments.

The Geist Watchdog 15 monitor offers a cost-effective solution for monitoring temperature, humidity, and dewpoint. It has the capacity to accommodate up to four additional external plug-and-play sensors. This solution empowers data center managers with real-time sensor data, data logging, and graphing capabilities. When environmental conditions exceed predefined thresholds, the system promptly sends alerts and notifications via email and email-to-SMS, ensuring timely response. The installation and configuration process is streamlined, facilitated through a standard web browser.

This innovative system provides a continuous view of a facility’s thermal state, presenting a flexible alternative to hardwired sensors and systems. The data collected from these sensors can be accessed through a secure web interface accessible from various browsers and mobile devices. Moreover, the Geist Watchdog 15 is compatible with Vertiv Environet Alert monitoring software and third-party systems, facilitated by open protocols for data sharing.
