Fortinet Expands India Presence with Two New Data Centers to Bolster Cybersecurity

Fortinet, the global leader in cybersecurity, is enhancing its commitment to India with the establishment of two dedicated data centers in Pune and Bangalore. This expansion aims to bring Fortinet Universal SASE, FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services, and FortiCloud closer to customers across India and SAARC, supporting their growing demand for secure connections in the age of remote work and digital transformation.

Recent research from Fortinet indicates that 94% of the Indian workforce operates in a hybrid or fully remote mode, necessitating an average of over 40 connections to third-party cloud applications. This extensive network footprint poses significant security challenges for businesses. To address this, companies are increasingly turning to cloud-delivered services to securely connect their dispersed workforce.

“Fortinet’s investment in India underscores our commitment to bolstering the nation’s cybersecurity framework. With a burgeoning market opportunity and the surge in remote work, there’s an escalating need for cloud-based security that transcends traditional network boundaries. Fortinet’s new data centers in Pune and Bangalore will enable us to tackle these security challenges and enhance India’s cybersecurity landscape, reaffirming our commitment to safeguarding customers in an evolving digital landscape,” said Vishak Raman, Vice President of Sales, India, SAARC, SEAHK & ANZ at Fortinet.

These dedicated data centers complement Fortinet’s existing Development Centre and Support Centre investments in India. They are designed to cater to the increasing demand for secure connections, extending the coverage for Fortinet Universal SASE, FortiCloud, and FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services.

Fortinet Universal SASE: This solution merges networking and security to support the current hybrid workforce. It covers network edges and microbranches, ensuring secure access to applications while optimizing user experience and ROI. Fortinet Universal SASE offers a high-performance, scalable cloud network with cutting-edge AI-powered security, unified management, and end-to-end digital experience monitoring.

FortiCloud: FortiCloud is Fortinet’s platform for providing security and security management services. It offers a straightforward way for customers to secure and deliver their data and applications on-premises and in the cloud.

FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services: This service furnishes AI-driven security capabilities to protect applications, web traffic, devices, and users across the distributed network. It continuously assesses risks and proactively counters both known and unknown threats.

Organizations like TVS Mobility find immense value in Fortinet’s SASE offering, particularly in enhancing data loss prevention and end-to-end digital experience measurement. These new data centers make securing a dispersed workforce more straightforward, allowing companies to focus on their core business functions.
