NTT Grows in India with Noida Data Centre Campus

NTT Ltd. has declared the initiation of its recently established data center campus, Noida 2, along with the unveiling of its inaugural data center. Encompassing a vast six-acre expanse, the campus is designed to accommodate a planned capacity of 52.8 MW critical IT load, spread across two data centers.

Located in Noida’s data center corridor within the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), a pivotal hub in India’s expansive and rapidly growing economy, the campus remains carrier-neutral. It is seamlessly interconnected with NTT’s other data center facilities, ensuring minimal latency, and provides effortless access to premier public cloud service providers. Notably, the campus boasts advanced features, including sophisticated automation that diligently monitors and optimizes facility performance, as well as essential resources like power and water.

Doug Adams, CEO and President of NTT Global Data Centre & Submarine Cable, emphasized, “India holds a prime position in our global strategic roadmap for consistent capacity expansion across existing and emerging data center markets. This new site underscores our commitment to delivering dependable infrastructure capable of meeting the evolving demands of our clients’ global digital transformation initiatives.”

Shekhar Sharma, CEO & MD of NTT GDC India & NTT Com India Network Services, expressed, “The launch of our new campus in Noida marks a significant milestone in our growth trajectory in India. Clients now have the opportunity to access our trusted data center services from an interconnected campus in North India. As India’s digital economy surges towards the one-trillion-dollar mark, we remain dedicated to furnishing the essential infrastructure for this exponential growth.”

The first data center, commissioned today, will sustain a 22.4 MW IT load within an expansive area of 300,000 sq. ft. (approximately 28,000m2). Noteworthy is the fact that this marks the first data center campus in India to integrate seismic dampers, ensuring uninterrupted operations even in the face of significant seismic events.

With this launch, NTT’s Global Data Centre division has significantly expanded its footprint in India, reaching over 268 MW with 18 data centers situated across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru. This includes the recent activation of the Mumbai 9 data center at its flagship Central Mumbai (Chandivali) campus. Collectively, these facilities span more than 3.1 million sq. ft. (approximately 290,000 m2) across interconnected campuses, providing clients with the ability to plan their infrastructure for immediate needs and scale to meet future growth requirements—all backed by NTT’s comprehensive full-stack managed services portfolio.

NTT Global Data Centre incorporates cutting-edge liquid cooling technologies, such as liquid immersion cooling and direct liquid cooling, ensuring clients can deploy the latest AI and high-performance computer platforms within its data centers.
