Airbus, the aerospace giant, announced on Friday that its geospatial digital platform, OneAtlas, is set to collaborate with Bengaluru-based startup HyperVerge. The partnership aims to implement and integrate new Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based analysis for satellite data. HyperVerge will introduce AI algorithms for automatic change detection analysis on Airbus’ Pleiades and SPOT optical satellite constellation, offering high-resolution imagery. These capabilities will be accessible through the OneAtlas online service platform.
This collaboration with HyperVerge marks the tenth successful partnership for an Airbus BizLab-accelerated Indian startup and an Airbus corporate entity. It’s also the inaugural collaboration for Airbus Defence and Space, the entity behind the launch of the OneAtlas Platform in 2019. Airbus BizLab serves as a global aerospace business accelerator, facilitating the transformation of innovative ideas into viable businesses for startups and Airbus “intrapreneurs.”
Siddharth Balachandran, Airbus BizLab Leader in India, stated, “The collaboration between Airbus and HyperVerge will help analyze satellite data generated with AI-based algorithms and provide industry-specific insights to facilitate better decision-making in urban planning, defense, and security, among other domains.” OneAtlas will grant HyperVerge convenient access to premium imagery and industry-specific insights for solution development.
