One97 Communications Limited (OCL), the parent company of the Paytm brand, has revealed a strategic alliance with global travel technology firm Amadeus for the next three years. This collaboration aims to integrate Amadeus’s expansive travel platform into Paytm’s services, enhancing the entire travel experience for users, from search and booking to payment. By leveraging Amadeus’s advanced automation and New Distribution Capability (NDC) technologies, Paytm aims to offer a seamless and efficient travel shopping ecosystem, providing hyper-personalized recommendations and dynamic pricing.
As a prominent online travel aggregator in India, Paytm seeks to strengthen its position further by tapping into Amadeus APIs. These APIs will provide Paytm users with access to a diverse range of global flight options, including Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Low-Cost Carriers (LCC), hotels, and more, all within the Paytm app. The partnership also lays the groundwork for Paytm to offer a unified Passenger Name Record (PNR) solution in collaboration with Indian national carriers.
The integration with Amadeus APIs ensures that Paytm users have a variety of payment options, including UPI, Paytm Wallet, and Postpaid, within a secure payment gateway. This comprehensive suite of payment choices aims to simplify transactions for users within the trusted Paytm ecosystem.
Vikash Jalan, Chief Business Officer of Paytm Travel, expressed enthusiasm about enhancing the customer experience through this collaboration, leveraging cutting-edge technology to automate user travel operations and improve efficiency and scalability.
Ramona Bohwongprasert, Senior Vice President at Amadeus, emphasized that the collaboration addresses the evolving needs of travelers, offering industry-specific, integrated solutions to enhance operational efficiency and instill confidence in travelers, enabling businesses to expand across geographies.
