Equinix Boosts Multicloud Connectivity for Indian Enterprises

Equinix has launched the Equinix Fabric Cloud Router, a virtual routing service designed to streamline multicloud networking for enterprises. This new service enables easy connectivity between applications and data across various clouds and on-premise deployments. Equinix Fabric Cloud Router offers an enterprise-grade, multicloud routing solution that is simple to configure and can be deployed in under a minute. It leverages Equinix’s secure private connectivity, allowing customers to connect applications across public clouds in numerous locations. The service is available in all 58 Equinix Fabric-enabled markets globally, offering low-latency connectivity to major cloud providers, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Equinix Fabric Cloud Router addresses the complexity of multicloud networking by providing a cost-effective and efficient solution. Customers can benefit from low-latency connections, private connectivity, enterprise-grade support with a 99.999% uptime SLA, and cost reduction, particularly in cloud egress costs, by up to 75% when using private cloud connections instead of internet egress. The service is delivered on demand, enabling customers to pay for what they need without being tied to long-term contracts and providing flexibility for scaling up or down as required.

The Equinix Fabric Cloud Router is seen as a key component of Platform Equinix, supporting multicloud performance, private connectivity, enterprise-grade reliability, and cost reduction for enterprises adopting multicloud networking architectures. Yogesh Kaushik, VP of Product Management at Oracle, emphasizes the importance of Equinix Fabric Cloud Router in deploying high-performance multicloud networking architectures more quickly and cost-effectively. Kunal Thakkar, VP of Product and Solutions Engineering at Apcela, expresses excitement about the launch, anticipating higher levels of cost and performance efficiency for their Network as a Service (NaaS) offering.

The service contributes to Equinix’s commitment to providing on-demand digital infrastructure, addressing the challenges of multicloud networking with speed, security, and cost-effectiveness.
